Installation

Since there are several techniques for installing hardwood floors, it can be confusing to know which one is best. At First Due Flooring, we use nail-down and gluing techniques to ensure your floors stay grounded for the long haul.

Finishing

Due to small imperfections in the subfloor of a house or the milling process for the hardwood, it is necessary to ‘finish’ the floor before it’s ready to be walked on. At First Due Flooring, we use a dust-contained system to sand the floor with five different, progressively-higher grit sandpapers to ensure a uniform surface. The surface is then stained/sealed to the exact color you desire with high quality Bona products, then top coated with a water or oil based finish to provide a lasting, durable finish.

Refinishing

Breathe new life into your old hardwood floors with First Due Flooring’s refinishing packages. We sand the floor with a variety of grits to a smooth, uniform flat level using a state-of-the-art dust containment system. Once we’re on a smooth footing, we seal the wood with high-quality Bono products to provide the aesthetic you desire. Finally, we top-coat the wood with either an oil or water based finish to provide lasting, durable protection.
